  • Road test vehicle. No driveability concerns noted related to work performed on front right brake hose. Vehicle stalling.
  • Visually inspected and found brake fluid leaking from ruptured front right brake hose rubbing against rim. Slight scratch on abs wiring. Recommend replace front right brake hose, bleed system, recheck brake operation, and road test . Suggest replace front left side due to same age and condition.   • Diagnose noise from motor and hard steering after driving for a while. Visually inspected power steering fluid level and condition. At fluid level but fluid condition dark brown and contaminated. Used stethoscope and heard internal noise coming from power steering pump when turn steering wheel. Recommend replace noisy and faulty power steering pump. Flush dirty and contaminated fluid from power steering system. Recheck steering system operation and for noise.
  • Flush old power steering fluid from system. Refilled power steering system with new fluid. Recheck fluid level, noise, and for proper operation

  • Added about 1/2 gallon water to cooling system. Pressure tested cooling system. No leak detected at this time. Checked cooling fan operation. No fault. Connected scan tool. Multiple codes retrieved. P0725. Engine Speed Signal to TCM P0335. CKP Sensor circuit problem P0420. Catalyst Efficiency Low (B1) Turbine Sensor A/T 3rd Gear Function. Checked & inspected camshaft & crankshaft position sensor wirings and connections. No fault. Visually inspected and found sensor connector slightly oil soaked. Suggestions replace oil soaked cam & crank sensor. Clear DTC and reset computer. Road test for driveability concerns and recheck for turbine sensor and A/T 3rd gear function codes.
  • As a goodwill gesture to customer. Did not charge for replacing both camshaft and crankshaft position sensors. Performed warranty work. Original installed performed on 12/18/19 @ 268,807 . Invoice #1328
  • Did not duplicate overheating symptom as stated by customer. Possible sticking thermostat or clogged cooling system.

  • Remove wheels from vehicle. Inspect brakes. Computer spin balance and rotate. Reinstall wheels to vehicle and torque lug nuts to manufacturer's specifications. Check and set tire pressue to spec if needed.
  • Tire tread measurements before tire rotation. FL-6/32nds FR-6/32nds RL-7/32nds RR-7/32nds
  • Torqued all wheels to spec. 76ft. lb.

  • Upon servicing vehicle. Visually inspected found and rubber insulator on ignition cables hard, dry, and detriorating. Fragile to touch. Suggest replace since we are there. Will save on labor.

Found coolant leaking out from between engine & transmission (internal) Possible from freeze plug at back of then engine block. Removed engine oil filler cap and dipstick. Inspected and found oil mixed with coolant residue on cap and stick. Determined blown head gasket. Recommend teardown. Engine life in question. 11 yr. old vehicle with close to 143K miles.

  • Inspect for coolant leakage. Visually inspected coolant level . Low fluid in reservoir. Added fluid to cooling system. Pressure tested cooling system. Fluid spewing out from intake manifold and water pump area. Recommend replace leaking main water pump. Suggest replace secondary pump since we are there.
  • Note: There oil residue on valve cover. Checked oil level. Okay. Spill or leakage? Advise customer to monitor for oil leakage. Inform customer that oil leak from the valve cover, oil cooler, or other components may cause the thermostat housing
  • Road test vehicle.
  • SECONDARY WATER PUMP – Remove & Replace – All Applicable Models
  • Upon servicing vehicle. Visually inspected and found plastic water distribution pipe rusted and coolant residue at fitting to main water pump. Suggest replace water distribution pipe to main water pump and auxilliary water pump. Deteriorating plastic. Suggest replace inlet cooling hose to auxilliary water pump. Spongy. Will save on some labor since we are there.
